Park Avenue Centerline
New York City, New York
/
Proposal
This proposal reimagines Park Avenue’s underutilized center median as a continuous, inhabitable pedestrian bridge. Rising gracefully from street level and touching down only at the existing medians, the arc-shaped structure creates an elevated linear park that threads through Midtown. Where the bridge meets the ground, programmed pavilions house cafés, yoga studios, and community spaces, activating what is currently passive urban residue. The green, sculpted surface above offers a new vantage point on the city—part infrastructure, part public realm—transforming Park Avenue into a vibrant, multi-level civic experience.
