Duboce Triangle Residence

et within San Francisco’s historic Duboce Triangle, this project reimagines a classic Victorian-era home with a full gut renovation and the addition of a new upper story. The house required an especially sensitive approach: preserving its street-facing character while transforming the interior into a light-filled, contemporary residence suited for modern living. The design introduces clean, minimalist volumes, expanded glazing, and refined natural materials, all carefully inserted within the constraints of a protected neighborhood context. The result is a quietly modern home that honors its historic roots while providing a warm, spacious environment for today’s lifestyle.
